"JACK McConnell’s flagship plan to attract talented foreigners north of the Border has been dealt a savage blow by research which found that most university graduates from overseas quit Scotland because of a lack of well-paid jobs.

As many as 70% of foreign graduates would like to stay in the country but only a tiny number do so, largely because of lack of opportunity, according to the findings of a report seen by Scotland on Sunday. "
