Don't you hate it when businesses funnel consumers' money in a direction that ultimately doesn't really help the consumer? Did you check out those high tech shopping carts at the supermarket? One supermarket tries to guarantee that a cart will never leave the parking lot by installing an electrical sensor so that if the cart "even tries" to leave the parking lot, electric brakes will automatically stop the wheels rendering the cart useless---damn! How much money was funneled into that? You know that merchandise prices absorb those costs.
